I'm a cover star! :-)
Really excited that my fused glass Christmas baubles have been chosen to appear on the cover of this year's SAOS Christmas brochure! This event is when artists open their doors for a Christmas special over nine days and two weekends for a unique experience to acquire high quality art and craft gifts!
I am open 30 Nov, 1 Dec, and 6-8 Dec 11am-4pm. As an added bonus I will also be offering drop in sessions to make your own mini Christmas wreaths, which once fused in the kiln will be ready to pick up the following weekend. Do drop by and say hello, I would love to see you.

Half day Christmas decoration workshops £75
Fun, creative workshop, suitable for beginners
Due to numerous requests, I’ve finally got my act together and will be running creative half day workshops making fused glass Christmas decorations in my lovely oak-framed garden studio in the village of Grayshott. I will show you how to cut glass safely and you will initially make a small Christmas tree decoration to get the hang of it. After that, you’re free to choose what you would like to make, using a combination of sheet glass, frit (crushed glass), glass stringers, stencils, copper, mica, bubbles, and sparkly dichroic glass (the jewel-like glass with reflective and refractive qualities). You can expect to make at least 4 pieces in the time, though people usually make more.
Firing in the kiln (up to 800°C) takes about 24 hours and there will be two firings – a full fusing or tack fusing – for different pieces. I will clean the pieces and drill holes and attach ribbons if necessary. They will then be ready for collection a week later. Children over 12 years old accompanied by an adult are welcome.

Half day fused glass taster workshop £75
Suitable for beginners and all abilities
A fun half day learning how to make colourful glass flowers that are guaranteed to last all year and not die on you! You will be shown a sample of small pieces that are achievable within the time and it's up to you to decide which ones you would like to make. You are welcome to bring your own ideas and inspiration. I will show you how to cut glass safely and show you all the types of materials you can use - from sheet glass, frit (crushed glass) and glass stringers, to stencils, copper or silver inclusions and sparkly dichroic glass. The glass will then be fired in the kiln overnight. Suitable for beginners.

How to Book
Workshop general information
Workshops take place in my oak-framed garden studio in Grayshott, Surrey. The workshops will be for no more than 3-4 people so I can give everyone enough attention to help them.
Please bring an apron and wear old clothes and closed toed shoes. I will provide tea and coffee for all workshops. Please bring a packed lunch if you are doing one of the full day workshops.
All abilities welcome. Children over the age of 12 and accompanied by a responsible adult are welcome.
